Job Overview 

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Intern to join our People Team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both People Operations and recruitment. The intern will be part of our dynamic and diverse team based both in Amsterdam and Geneva. 

Responsibilities  

The successful candidate will split their time supporting People Operations activities, such as contracts, employee relations, payroll, administration, and recruitment to attract, identify, and select top talent.  

Provide support to People Operations across all locations (Amsterdam, Geneva, London, NY, Singapore): 

  • Contribute to employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departures 
  • Assist in processing renewals of contracts and contract preparation for new hires in our HRIS (HiBob) 
  • Assist in processing payroll and maintaining accurate records of leaves including sickness leaves 
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including filing, data entry, and updating employee profiles 
  • Assist in resolving employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures  
  • Collaborate with the People Team on projects aimed at improving efficiency and employee satisfaction.

Provide support to recruitment efforts across locations:

  • Participate in recruitment activities across the organization  
  • Publish ads and monitor influx of applicants to ensure a qualitative and consistent flow  
  • Reach out to prospective candidates to gauge their interest for the organization and any ongoing openings 
  • Support recruitment activities across the organization by screening resumes, and conducting first interviews  
  • Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with both candidates and hiring managers to ensure a positive experience throughout the recruitment process 
  • Collaborate on various continuous improvement projects such as employer branding (e.g., career fairs, events, social media posts) and overall recruitment process efficiency (e.g., ATS, recruitment flow).  

Qualifications, Skills and Experience 

  • Recently obtained a university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or any other related field 
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in Human Resources is a plus. Basic knowledge of Dutch Labour Law would be an asset.  
  • Collaborating and building networks: establish connections and understand the needs to build trust. resolving their problems or questions. You can also preliminarily assess a candidate’s fit for a position, and you proactively follow up with them if needed.  
  • Presenting and communicating information: you express opinions, information, and key points clearly and fluently, projecting credibility. You listen actively to others. 
  • Delivering results: you set high standards for quality and quantity, consistently achieving goals, handling setbacks, quickly understanding bottlenecks, proposing solutions, and solving issues. 
  • Initiating action: you take prompt action independently, proactively, and quickly to go above and beyond to achieve results. 
  • Managing work: you effectively manage your time and resources to complete assigned work. You follow up promptly on action items including employees’ queries. You are able to execute multiple action items simultaneously.  
  • Fluent in written and spoken English is required; fluency in Dutch and/or French is a plus. 

The position is full-time and based in Amsterdam.
