Job overview

As an associate in the Transport decarbonization project, you will provide an essential coordination support to the Zero Emission Vehicle Emerging Market Initiative manager. You will have a primary role in crafting public-private sector dialogues that will practically align policies and technology roadmaps and help accelerate the transition to zero-emission vehicles globally. As a member of the transport and mobility pathway, you will contribute to the running of the program by participating in the organization of quarterly meetings and WBCSD-led and external events throughout the year.

Responsibilities

As an Associate, Transport Decarbonization you:

  • Manage project workgroups and lead day-to-day project activities to deliver the agreed project objectives
  • Organize and facilitate related meetings, events and workshops, contribute to content preparation, and provide logistic support
  • Facilitate the engagement of members, prospects, and key stakeholders towards the achievement of the project deliverables
  • Support in the development and execution of the project communication plan
  • Research and gather information from diversified sources, structure insights, and write succinctly to generate high-quality content
  • Collaborate internally with other teams to build synergies, as required by the different project deliverables

Qualifications

To be considered, we would expect you to bring:

  • A master-level education in a relevant field like Mobility, Transport, or transport-related policy
  • 2 to 5 years of experience with exposure to project management, ideally in a multilateral context; a consultancy experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge on the ongoing paradigm shift in electrification, mobility digitalization and urban mobility patterns
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels and with different backgrounds
  • Strong facilitation skills, with experience in organizing meetings, workshops and events with a profound sense for designing meetings, events and workshops to reach the desired outcome
  • Strategic thinking to plan the program work, help steer the program and the team's work.
  • Autonomous, adaptive, good organizational skills and the ability to plan and manage different priorities simultaneously

Certifications - Expectations 

  • Fluent in English, every other language is a plus
  • Knowledge of CRM, and salesforce, along with Key account management is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Project planning and events management tools are an advantage.

The position is a one-year fixed-term contract with potential for renewal, ideally starting as soon as possible, full-time and based in Amsterdam, and will require international travel.
