Job Overview

In 2023, the Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team aims at implementing a Financial Planning & Reporting system to improve processes and ease decision-making. In that context, your role will be to
assist the FP&A Team in day-to-day activities so that WBCSD keeps projects running as fast as they can whilst staying within the resources available. You will be part of a human-sized Finance team and you will
report to the Associate FP&A.

This is a fixed-term position, to start 2 January 2023 until 30 June 2023. The position is full-time and based in our Amsterdam office. The historical office being in Geneva, most of the Finance team is based in
Geneva.

Responsibilities & duties

Financial Reporting

  • Support the monitoring of actuals vs forecasts/budgets and alert any significant deviation or risk.
  • Contribute to provide relevant information by computing data coming from different systems/stakeholders with accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Team for annual/quarterly closings by verifying accruals and cut-off calculation and by ensuring accounting entries are analytically correct.
  • Run various ad-hoc analyses for Finance Team, project managers or Senior Management Team.

Grant Management Process 

  • Keep our Finance grant database updated and help with improving our grant management processes with regards to timelines and reporting requirements.
  • In collaboration with the Accounting Team, provide project managers with grant financial reports to grantors as per the requirements of their respective agreements.

Planning & Reporting system implementation

  • Support the FP&A team in the implementation of the new system by notably testing the accuracy of data migration, ensuring that the new system meets internal requirements, contribute to internal training.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Education level
o Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar

Experience
o Previous internships in a Finance department.

Specific skills:
o Expert with MS Excel skills
o Outstanding analytical and data gathering skills
o Strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
o Good problem-solving skills and business acumen

Personal characteristics
o Self-starter with drive and enthusiasm
o Fluent in English. French would be an asset.
