Job overview 

In this role, you will help the Mobility digitalization and data project manager to create and animate a C-level coalition that will scale digital solutions for decarbonizing urban mobility. As a key window person for our members, you will coordinate their collaboration through efficient communication and event planning. In addition, you will help harness their expertise to create thought leadership and tools for deploying sustainable digital mobility solutions.  

Responsibilities and duties 

The associate’s primary responsibilities and duties include:  

  • Assist in building and animating a coalition of members to achieve sustainable, ethical, secure, and privacy-centric data sharing for sustainable mobility. 
  • Write and support the publication of reports on sustainable mobility.  
  • Assist in organizing webinars, working sessions and conferences by preparing briefing materials, invitations and presentations.  
  • Develop intelligence on the evolution of data-sharing in the sector  
  • Be the guardian of member centricity in the team by ensuring appropriate and timely communications with members when leading on project activities 
  • Support the Mobility team where applicable with specific projects and ad-hoc tasks related to the mobility pathway, like working on grant proposals and building experimentations linked to data sharing use cases. 

 Qualifications 

  • Education level:  Master’s degree in Transport, Engineering or Business  
  • Experience: At least 4 to 5 years relevant professional experience in the transport sector  

Specific skills: 

  • System thinking, business model design and problem-solving skills.  
  • Basic project management and planning skills 
  • Previous experience in the transport sector with knowledge of data-sharing or in policymaking  
  • Familiarity with sustainable mobility pathways and concepts 
  • Communication: Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.  
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite 

Personal characteristics: 

  • A genuine passion for addressing sustainability.  
  • Reliable, diligent and able to work with a certain degree of autonomy. 
  • Teamwork and collaboration, in a fully remote working context 
  • Pro-active with a can-do, hands-on mindset 

The position is full-time and fixed-term (1 year, with possible renewal) based in Amsterdam but might also require international travel once travel restrictions are lifted. 

Expected start date: 01.02.2022
